Pre-Wedding Shoot in Granada and Along the Genil River

Pre-Wedding Photos at the Foot of the Alhambra

Today I’m sharing a fantastic pre-wedding shoot in Granada. I recently had the chance to spend some time in this wonderful Andalusian city and photograph a lovely couple there.

For me, Granada is one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. It has many very different areas, a unique atmosphere and an unmistakable character. Set at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, its most iconic landmark is, of course, the Alhambra.

Granada is not only beautiful as a city; the surrounding areas are also fantastic. And I do not just mean the Sierra Nevada. The Genil River is a good example, and that was where we began our pre-wedding photo session.

From there, we explored the area below the Alhambra, the Albaicín, the Cuesta de los Chinos and the Carmen de los Mártires. There are countless places to take photographs in Granada, and we simply did not have enough time to visit them all. We still had places such as the Cathedral area and the Palace of Charles V left for another occasion.

If there is one drawback, it is that Granada has plenty of steep streets and hills, although from a photographic point of view they often make the locations even more interesting.

I have to admit that I was not feeling particularly well on the day of the shoot and ended up finishing the session with a temperature of 39°C, but the photographs had to be done.

I often travel to different parts of Spain for pre-wedding and post-wedding shoots. Sometimes it is because one of the couple is originally from that area, and sometimes simply because they love the location.

The most important thing is to enjoy the experience and create photographs that really mean something to the couple.

I hope you enjoy them!
