Education

Learn photography through practice, with training adapted to your level, your equipment and what you want to achieve. I offer one-to-one courses and workshops for groups and associations, for both enthusiasts and professionals.

The camera, lighting and image workflow are all part of the same process. My aim is to help you understand what you are doing and why, so you can apply what you learn to your own photographs.

Photography should be created at the moment of capture

Light, exposure, composition, colour and timing should be resolved in camera, not left for later. That is why my workflow is designed to keep post-processing to a minimum: basic adjustments applied in batches, careful selection and, above all, impeccable organisation of all the material.

I do not believe in turning post-production into a second photo shoot. Nor do I believe in resorting to black and white to hide poor lighting or problems that should have been solved at the moment of capture. Likewise, I do not need artificial intelligence to reconstruct, correct or reinvent images. Technology can help manage the workflow more efficiently, but it cannot replace solid photographic technique.

The better a photograph is made from the outset, the less it needs afterwards. And that does not only improve the final result: it also makes your workflow faster, more efficient and more profitable.

The objective is simple: spend your time taking good photographs, not fixing them.

One-to-One Courses

Training focused on you. Before we begin, we talk about your experience and the areas you want to learn or improve. We work with your own camera and combine explanation with hands-on practice.

If you’re just getting started

  • Get to know your camera: settings, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, depth of field and composition.
  • Lose your fear of flash: manual and automatic flash, off-camera flash, natural light and continuous lighting.
  • Organise and work with your photos: selection, storage, colour management, RAW processing and editing with Lightroom, Camera Raw, Bridge or Photoshop.
  • A complete learning path: combine camera technique, lighting and image processing over several sessions.

If you’re already a professional

We can focus on lighting, posing direction, equipment setup or a more efficient workflow. The content is adapted to your speciality and the real needs of your work.

Workshops for Groups and Associations

Learn together by seeing and practising each step. Workshops are tailored to the group’s level and interests, from photography enthusiasts to professional photographers.

How We Work

  1. We prepare the workshop: we agree on the objectives, content, duration and location.
  2. We take photographs: we analyse the light, composition, posing and camera settings while carrying out the shoot.
  3. We work on the files: we review the photographs and complete the process with RAW processing and editing on the computer.
  4. We answer your questions: during the workshop and also afterwards, when you put what you have learned into practice.

I have taught workshops in different cities across Spain, including Zaragoza, Valencia, Alicante, A Coruña, Seville, Logroño, Málaga, Madrid, Barcelona, Tarragona and Mallorca.

What We Can Work On

The following topics can be combined in one-to-one courses and group workshops:

  • Weddings and communions: preparation, working with people, outdoor and studio lighting, and organising the final delivery.
  • Fashion, portrait and advertising photography: posing direction, styling, lighting and image processing.
  • Studio photography: lighting setups, studio flashes, beauty and creative photography.
  • Indoor and outdoor photography: natural light, strobist techniques, location selection and composition.
  • Workflow and profitability: file management, colour, RAW processing, editing and making the most of your equipment.

Where and How to Organise Your Training

We can work in a studio or at an indoor or outdoor location. If models are needed, we can arrange this when planning the session.

The content and duration are organised according to what you want to learn, the location and the number of participants. You can also give a course as a gift: I can prepare a gift voucher for you.

Tell me what you would like to learn or improve, and we can organise your course or workshop.
